AWAKE (2023) is an original Mandarin play with music, equipped with English captions, that delves into the themes of truth and illusion, comfort, and adventure.
The story unfolds in a post-apocalyptic setting, Siyu and Lin Jiang, survivors leading a serene life in a forest cabin, find their tranquility disrupted by a mysterious fish. This unexpected event propels Siyu on a profound journey of self-discovery.
The projection design utilized in AWAKE (2023) was generated using Stable Diffusion and MidJourney. In certain scenes, AI was combined with greenscreen character footage. For the role of the elder prophet, greenscreen footage and AIGC were combined to ensure consistency between the character and the overall aesthetics and enhance the storytelling.
